Solutions To Land Pollution

-Well one obvious solution would be recycling...Not only does it kepp our trash off of our land and out of our soil but it reuses our waste and conserves energy...Using biodegradable products also helps...Not littering and picking up trash one sees on the ground can help and reusing things yourself. You don't necesarilly have to take your recycled trash to a recyclling place but you can reuse glass bottles at home for foods, storage, decoration, etc. also with plastic bottles, old ice cube trays, old bedframes, etc... And desposing of harmful chemicals the proper way is also another way to prevent land pollution...there are more of course so just google it

-The solution to land pollution is the three Rs. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

-Recycle garbage...turn biodegradable stuff into compost...use biodegradable containers (they are now available in the market)...avoid using plastic...avoid using pesticides or herbicides...avoid using too much fertilizer...dump organic waste far from residential areas...anti-litter campaigns....

-Make stuff out of Recycled materials. by doing this you reduce waste and reuse the material. therefore taking up less space in land fills!

THESE ARE THE MAIN STEPS TO TAKE TO STOP LAND POLLUTION. THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVES BECAUSE JUST BY DOING THESE SIMPLE THINGS WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD, AND GET RID OF LAND POLLUTION FOR GOOD

For the most part, land fills are not a problem so long as the trash that is being put there is bio-degradeable. The problem comes from the stuff that can be hazardous when it gets into the ground water. Stuff like old paint, oil, pesticides and etc. Some people disguise their garbage so that it will be collected and then dumped. The trash haulers try to watch out for the bad stuff but some of it gets through anyway. Old TV sets, old computers and monitors and the like contain some hazardous materials. The better way is to burn the bad stuff in special incinerators that convert it to a power source. Yes in some areas, such as NY City and other highly populated cities, it is a real problem. In areas where there are fewer people and wide open spaces, it is not a major problem. I think greater care has to be taken by everyone to make sure that they do not and poision to the trash. It takes some effort, but it is worth it.

Pollution can do several things to animals--it can kill fish and bugs, cause birds beaks to be deformed, reduce egg production and animal reproduction, and
eliminate species all together. People study the "gross" effects on animals, such as deformed beaks, and thenstudy the
sublethal effects on reproduction and try to determine the long-term effects on the population by species, and by the "food chain"
groups. They also know that certain chemicals accumulate in fish, in their fat, and that humans should not eat fish from the
Great Lakes daily. There are guidance documents that show how often to eat the fish, such as trout, smelt and such.
When humans eat fish that have such chemicals in them, we can measure it in the milk that mothers produce for their babies, and some of these chemicals
are thought to be responsible for cancers and deformities or learning disabilities in babies.

LAND POLLUTION IS WRONG

land pollution is something we are trying to stop. it needs to stop soon, because dangerous things await. such as oil spills, and landfills. only we can stop land pollution. at this rate a lot of animals are endangered. such as penguins, polar bears, and lots of arctic animals.
